Writing with care
Contributor guidelines
These guidelines apply to contributor applications and every article submitted to BlogForFolks for editorial review.
Originality and accuracy
Submit work you created and have the right to publish. Do not copy another writer’s work or present another person’s ideas as your own. Verify factual claims and correct mistakes promptly.
Explain the limits of your experience. Health, financial, and legal topics need careful sourcing and must not be presented as individualized professional advice.
Sources and attribution
Link to reliable primary sources where possible. Clearly distinguish direct quotations, paraphrases, personal experience, and your own analysis.
Images and copyright
Use images you created, own, or have permission to publish. Check the actual license and attribution requirements for any third-party image; do not assume that an image found online is free to reuse.
Promotion and respectful writing
Disclose material affiliations and promotional interests. Articles should inform readers, not disguise advertising, spam, harassment, or unsupported claims as editorial content.
Submissions will be reviewed by an editor. The review process may request revisions or decline work that does not meet the publication’s standards.
